The B 400's two-speed ventilation and quiet operation allow it to be used in premises of different sizes discreetly.
Maintenance is simple - filters and bins can be easily disassembled and rinsed with clear water. We strongly recommend that you use a hygiene product (e.g. SecoSan cartridges) to prevent microorganisms from developing in the tank water.
The device control panel shows the filling level of the bin. When the bin is empty, the humidifier automatically goes to sleep and tells you via a light that the water booster needs to be done. NB: You'll find in the accessories an automatic filling kit to mount on the device.
Good to know: a 50% increase in air humidity reduces the risk of virus transmission.
Scientists have looked at virus resistance (SARS-CoV, MERS-CoV and SARS-CoV-2 (Covid-19) for example) based on temperature and humidity conditions. Their study showed that viruses only survived for a long time in low temperatures and humidity. At a temperature between 20 and 30 degrees Celsius, viruses survive long enough, but only when the humidity is very low; coronaviruses become inactive beyond 30oC. In our four walls but also at work, the temperature is often between 20 and 24 degrees Celsius, the humidity of the air between 20 and 40%, ideal conditions for viruses.
Experts point out that it is possible to reduce the risk of infection by increasing air humidity in buildings. The risk of transmission decreases to a humidity rate of about 50%. Air humidification is an effective measure at home and in the workplace. Moistened air allows airway defence mechanisms to be better prepared; the airways are purified more efficiently and the immune defences improve.
